Peyotl for accordion and live electronics (2023) is inspired by the peyote cactus and the intense dual journey of its ritual use. The accordion embodies the body under the influence, while the electronics unfold as hallucinated space: saturated clusters, granular echoes and microtonally shifted mirrors of the instrument’s sound.

The piece moves from a frantic, rhythmically fractured opening into a suspended second part of long harmonies and slow descent, where distortion gives way to a lucid, altered calm.
