Short bio
Luis Torres is a composer of acoustic and electroacoustic music, recognized for his innovative integration of traditional composition with live electronics. He graduated from the Royal College of Music (RCM), London, where he studied with Dai Fujikura and Kenneth Hesketh. In 2024, he completed his second Master’s degree, also with distinction, at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, under the mentorship of Beat Furrer and Franck Bedrossian. Most recently, he was selected to study the prestigious IRCAM Cursus Program 2024-2025 in Paris.
Known for his harmonic refinement, expressivity, and innovative sonic landscapes, Torres’s music has been performed by esteemed ensembles such as Ensemble CEPROMUSIC, the Fidelio Trio, and the Orchestra of the Royal College of Music, in major cultural capitals including London, Paris, Mexico City, Lucerne, Graz, and Vienna.
